So my neighbors and I aren't friends. We aren't enemies, either. We are just....three people who happen to have purchased houses next door to each other.
I thought the other day that they might have had a baby--spotted car seat in her Caddy. But since we aren't friendly, I wasn't 100%
Today, there are pink balloons outside of their house.
So, people with kids and people with neighbors: should I make a little something for them in a neighborly gesture or just leave it? Would you feel weird getting a taggy lovie thing from a neighbor you're just on nodding terms with?

I think that you should make something for the new baby! Something small... It just seems like a nice thing to do!
Awww you're just so thoughtful! I totally would not mind getting baby stuff from neighbors, or anyone else actually. Well ok not my ex-husbands girlfriend maybe, THAT would be weird.
I've had complete strangers give things to my baby, several times at the grocery store, and once a lady paid my water bill at the county office just because she loved my baby. That's kind of irrelevant but it was sweet.
Sounds like a perfect opportunity to get to know the neighbors!
I would have loved if one of our neighbors had taken the time to do something like that (I know this reply is super late but just in case you are still on the fence :)
